Use the half you need, or both together. The console starts in music mode because that is where most shows start.
Drop in your audio files and they become numbered cues. GO fires the next one with a proper fade. Tracks can crossfade, play on top of each other, follow each other after a delay, or dip the background score while an effect plays and let it swell back. A cue can even change its own level partway through, so music settles under dialogue while your hands are busy elsewhere.
Feed it your script as a PDF or pasted text. It becomes short, readable cues that never split a sentence across two screens. One key advances them on the projector. Surtitles for a translated play, done without slides.
Tie a song to a line of dialogue. When you advance the subtitles to that line, the console fires the music for you, or clearly reminds you it is ready and waits for your GO. You stay in control.
